When our check engine light came on, revealing a leak in the evaporation system, Scata's did a thorough inspection of the car and found a number of issues with the brakes and recommended a transmission flush. I opted for the smoke test to find the leak and replacement of dry-rotted brake lines and they did not pressure me on the transmission flush and front brake job (brakes were relatively new but the car sits idle for most of the year). The work was done by the end of the day and they didn't charge anything beyond the smoke test fee to seal the leak.

I've been going to Scata's for about 15 years. Great guys and great service. If they tell you something needs to be repaired you know it needs to be done, and that they're not trying to sell you something you don't need.

Everything was done to my satisfaction but would've liked for things to be done a little faster since I had an appointment (emissions/oil change)
